All in Postpartum Journey
Making friends - it’s never been the easiest thing for me to do. I’ve always been a pretty shy person and I am okay to claim “introvert” as a title that describes me. From my early school days, I remember the anxiety and nerves that came about with putting myself out there. Though life experiences and a few servings of grace have helped the anxiety fade over the years, I still wish that the process of putting myself out there was less stressful and more organic.
Pregnancy is a rollercoaster ride in every sense of the word. Of course your body goes through major changes, but some women’s bodies change more than others. You know those women that you see on the street who are 9 months pregnant and look completely normal besides boasting a beautiful belly? Yeah, that was definitely not me.
I have a love-hate relationship with maternity clothes. With my first child, I was actually excited to purchase them, proud to show off the baby bump - the whole 9 yards. Then, I actually experienced pregnancy and grew to hate every awkwardly ruched empire waisted maternity top I purchased.
