Mother's Day Gift Guide

It’s that time of year again! Mother’s Day is near - it’s the perfect time to remind the mom and the mother figures in our lives how much we love them. I have an incredibly close relationship with my mom - she is my greatest role model, supporter, and friend. I love showering her with special gifts during this weekend! Since I have become a mother, my hubby has done a beautiful job of surprising me with reminders that I’m making it as a mama. Below are a few gift ideas for mom, some I’ve received and some I’ve given!

Explore: Sandestin Golf And Beach Resort

My family recently spent a long weekend at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, and it was a picture perfect family getaway. Crystal blue waters, white sand, and sun paired with good food, ample entertainment, and beautiful accommodations left us wanting to ditch our day jobs and move to the beach by the end of our stay.

Explore: Jacksonville Zoo

Last week, I had the pleasure of spending the morning at the Jacksonville Zoo. It had been years since I’d gone adventuring here, and I am so glad my family took the trip! It has changed significantly since my childhood days, and I am sure I will be back to explore it more with my kiddos.

Explore: Jacksonville Beach

When my husband told me that he would be heading to Jacksonville for a board meeting, I asked him if we could come along and turn his work trip into a mini vacation. He of course agreed, and I am so glad he did! Our trip to Jacksonville Beach was so much fun!

My Toddler's Favorite Disney World Attractions

Over the years, I have gone to Disney World more times than I can count. At each stage of my life, I have found magic there in different ways, and my favorite things to do there have changed. I definitely titled myself a “Disney enthusiast” by the time my first son was born, and when he was about 3 days old I was already itching to take him to the parks (no, I didn’t take him when he was that young, calm down).

Disney was the first vacation destination we visited as parents. Though some might feel as though the cons outweigh the pros for taking super little ones to Disney, I would beg to differ. In fact, I feel as though Disney is one of the best places for young families to go because of pure ease. We have returned numerous times since my kids were born, and we are now gearing up to take another trip in a few weeks!

My Family’s Vow To Travel...With Little Humans

Many moons ago, before we had kids, my husband and I talked about how we would travel the world together. We even wrote a list of places we wanted to see and adventures we wanted to experience. We were super young and on a shoestring budget, but even still, we made travel a priority.

Then, we had our first son. Work schedules became increasingly demanding. We bought our first house. Financial demands changed. Not only did our bucket list seem to be put on the back burner, but with a tiny human in tow, travel logistics changed too. My oldest couldn’t make it to Target in the car without losing it, so how would he endure a road trip or anything else?

Explore: Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park

I’m a Florida girl. I was born and raised here, and one of the things I love about my state is that there is so much to see and explore. As my boys grow up, I want to take them to some of my favorite Florida destinations as well as discover new gems as a family in our home state.

I’m so excited to kick off my Florida Living blog series with one of my favorite places on Earth: Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. This slice of Heaven, located in Tallahassee, has so much to do for both adults and children.

My Spring Bucket List

Happy Spring! I am so excited to be kicking off the blog with my spring bucket list. I was inspired to create a seasonal bucket list by one of my favorite YouTubers, Bits of Paradis, who is all about finding the magic in everyday life. I love this philosophy and strive to give my children an extraordinary ordinary life, everyday.
